Kenny Rogers

Kenny Rogers is getting ready for his very last world tour.

Rogers posted on Facebook Monday.

“The time has flown by…but I’m ready to make more memories with you on this final world tour. We’re busy preparing the show. I hope you’ll be able to join us, beginning in May,”

#KennyRogers announced his retirement on the “Today” show in September. Rogers said that after an incredible career that was more than he’d “ever dreamed,” he wanted to spend more time with his family.

“I’ve decided that my goal now is to stay home and help Wanda raise Justin and Jordan and be as much of an influence on them as my mother and father were on me, because that’s what parents are for. … I love all of you. I love the way you’ve treated me. You’ve always been respectful and I will miss you dearly but I must go be with my boys.”

His farewell tour starts on May 13 in Mahnomen, Minn. With more dates to follow.

Mr. Frank Sinatra, Jr.

Steve-Sinatra 7-04

Hearing about Frank #Sinatra, Jr.’s death reminded us of a story about how he held his band members as equals.
His big band was playing a festival in Buffalo. They needed a rehearsal space so we made arrangements at an exclusive club next to the hotel where he was staying.
As we wrapped up the details, the club’s general manager told me, “Mr. Sinatra can come through the front door, but the rest of the band has to come through the kitchen.” I asked him to repeat that and he said the exact same thing.
So I told Mr. Sinatra and he said, “You tell him that just like my dad, Frank Sinatra, Jr. uses the same door that all the band members use.”
And he did enter and exit with the band using the same door in the kitchen. Truly a classy gentleman. He will be missed.

We’re saddened to hear about the passing of Frank #Sinatra, Jr. We worked with Mr. Sinatra on several occasions. He was a true gentleman, who made time for a little conversation and photo with anyone who wanted it. He was a great big band singer, who valued every one of his band members as equals.
