Ticket Scalpers Beware?

Eric Church
Most entertainers aren’t fans of ticket scalpers.  Eric Church is fighting back by canceling almost a thousand tickets for a concert in Minneapolis.
Church’s management found more than 900 of the tickets sold for his Sept. 16 show at the Target Center were bought in violation of the ticket limits for the event, according to KMSP-TV.The tickets, sold for as much as $847 each, were all canceled and will go back on sale May 2.

“We have ticket buying limits on all Eric Church shows, and yes, we enforce those limits with delivery delays, sweeps and cancellations,” Q Prime South’s VP of touring, Fielding Logan, told Pollstar.

In a recent interview Church said he wants his shows to be filled with fans and scalpers should back off. “I can’t stop ticket scalpers completely, but I can definitely make it harder for them,” he said.
